I did not know this man directly, but as I have the same name as him, I had noticed him popping up in search results for several years when I was searching myself for something. Honestly, I always felt like this man had a very compassionate and caring look about his smile. When I read the comment below that he would "give you the shirt off his back", I believed it instantly. Again, as I was searching my name one day I came across this obituary and was honestly very saddened to hear he passed. Although I never got to meet David, he somehow did feel like family or a friend to me. - David Maiolo

Uncle Dave was the name Dave was given in our neighborhood where he had grew up at.
Uncle Dave was a very smart and special person to me and my family. He was the best man at mine and my husband Tom’s wedding.Uncle Dave was the man that would give you the shirt off his back or the last dollar to him name.Uncle Dave would come up pretty much everyday and would always have candy or snacks for my kids or would buy them pizza! I know he is in a better place now with his mother and father who he talked about very often.
He gave me a piece of a piece lilly years ago
Which sits in my livingroom, everytime I look at it or water it , it reminds me of him . You will forever be in our home and our hearts Uncle Dave.
