Gene Baggett, 80 of Clarksville, went to be with the Lord September 22, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Lone Oak Baptist Church with Revs. David Mackens and Will Binkley officiating. Burial will follow at Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Saturday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and from 2 p.m. until the hour of service on Sunday at the church.
Gene was born October 11, 1935 to the late Herbert and Lora Baggett. In addition to his parents, Gene is preceded in death by brother, Leon Baggett and great granddaughter, Abree Dale Potter.
Gene was a local business owner and developer, with many endeavors including Eastland Green and Pebble Brook Golf Course, skating centers, and Gene Baggett Construction. He was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church.
Gene is survived by his wife Dorothy of 60 years; brother, Cecil Baggett and sister Chris Roth; sons, Herb (Sallie) Baggett and Johnny (Beth) Baggett; daughter, Vicki (Randy) Allbert; 10 grandkids, Adrienne (Travis) Beech, Ashley (Brad) Heflin, Mary (Jeremy) Chandler, Adair (Jamie) McGregor, Alana (Matt) Potter, Averitt Baggett, Ren (Kelly) Baggett, Luke Baggett, Ella Baggett, and Lillie Baggett; and 5 great grandkids, Addison, Braden, Ava Claire, Gunnar, and Renison.
Grandsons, grandsons in law, and Kevin Abrams will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lone Oak Baptist Church, 4445 Louise Road, Cumberland Furnace, TN 37051.
