Obituary for Ross Choate
Mr. Lannie Ross Choate, age 78 of Erin, TN, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Pastors Gary Carlton, Paul Moody, and Richard Neal officiating. Burial will follow in McMillian Cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday afternoon.
Ross entered this life on September 2, 1938, in Greenbrier, TN, son to the late Curtis and Beulah Browning. Ross was a faithful member of Arlington Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Upon his retirement from Consolidated Aluminum, Ross became a loyal employee at Nave Funeral Home where he served his community for over 15 years.
In addition to his parents, Ross was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred Pulley Choate.
Survivors include his loving daughter, Cathy Smith (Gene); grandson, Davin L. Smith (Megan); brother, Billy Sherman Choate (Betty); and a host of nieces, nephews, great –nieces, great-nephews, great great-nieces, and great great- nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Fletcher, Mike Fletcher, Sidney Warden, Bob Pulley, Victor Dillard, and Terry Hooper. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Self, Larry Nave, Tony Nave, Ed Larson, Lance Powell, Terry Lewis, and Dustin Broadbent.
