Eddie  Okonal  Hodges
Edward “Eddie” Okonal Hodges, age 51 of Erin, TN, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017.
A celebration of his life will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2017 at the Yellow Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Phillip Chambers officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
The Hodges family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Nave Funeral Home, and from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service Monday afternoon at the church.
Masonic funeral rites will be held on Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home.
Eddie entered this life on January 9, 1966 in Balboa, Panama Canal, son to Jere and Patricia Virginia Lambert Hodges. Eddie was a brother of Wisdom Lodge#300, and attended Yellow Creek Baptist Church. Eddie was a loving husband and father who was greatly known for his willingness to help anyone in need. He volunteered his time by helping his community in any way he could. Eddie was a wonderful son to his in -laws, Myrtel and Bobby Frommel.
Eddie was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Virginia Lambert Hodges.
Survivors include his loving wife of 31 years, Pamela Gates Hodges, daughters, Tammy Lee Hodges Largent (Rory), Samantha Marie Hodges Petrone (Tyler), father and step-mother, Jere Cooper Hodges and Lavergne Hodges; brothers, Jere Hodges Jr (Melissa), Thomas “Danny” Hodges, Michael Andrew Hodges; step-sisters, Connie Spicer, Angela Petty (Bob); and a host of nieces and nephews including Coral Thomas and Forest Laine Gates.
Eddie also leaves behind his precious grandchildren, Cadence Reese Largent, Cary Ryley Largent, Jocee Paige Largent, Remington Okonal and Benelli Lyn Petrone.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chuck May, Aaron Mayfield, Jesse Snyder, Pete Broadbent, Dustin Broadbent, Dakota Shortt, Brandon Williams, and Wes Mitchum. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Herbert Ellis, Doug Ligon, Mike Turner, Eric Christian, Christopher Peddie, Jimmy Bass, and his brothers of the Masonic Lodge.
