Obituary for Betty Jean Meek
Betty Jean Meek, age 82, died on Friday, May 19, 2017 at her home while surrounded by her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Revs. Kathy Fox and Garrett Milliken officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. to 1p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Betty was born on April 17, 1935 to Dossie and Stella Black. She was a life-long Montgomery County resident and a member of the Macedonia Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Meek, and her siblings, Douglas Black and Alice K. Smith.
Betty leaves behind her son, Jim Meek (Pam) and her grandchildren, Jacob and Christian Meek.
Pallbearers will be Bill Black, Wade Smith, David Meek, Danny Meek, Larry Meek, Alan Meek, Greg Meek, Bobby Meek, and Thom Meek.
